Klagenfurt by bike – From the Lindwurm to the lake
Discover Klagenfurt between the Old Town and Wörthersee. The approximately 15-kilometer bike tour begins at the Lindwurm and leads over Benediktinermarkt and Landhaus to the historic Lendkanal. You follow the water to the Wörthersee East Bay, cross the Europapark, and finally reach Maria Loretto. Ten detailed audio stations tell stories of urban planning and market life, of old transport routes, summer retreats, and Klagenfurt's special relationship with the lake. On the way back, you experience the Lendkanal from the opposite perspective before the loop closes at Neuen Platz.

Plan for about two hours for the approximately 15 kilometers. The audio stories are intended for the breaks at the individual stops and will not be listened to during the ride. In the Altstadt, it may sometimes be sensible to push the bike briefly. In the Europapark, you will consciously get off: The short walk through the park is part of the tour. You will also cover some meters on foot in the Landhaushof and on the peninsula Maria Loretto. Therefore, a bicycle lock is recommended. The route mostly runs on bike paths and quiet connections. The outbound and return journey runs partially along the Lendkanal.
